A Guided Meditation: Sitting at the CrossFind a quiet space where you can sit undisturbed. Let your spine be tall. Plant your feet firmly on the ground. Take three deep breaths. Inhale slowly through your nose. Exhale gently through your mouth. Visualize the cross—or gaze at a cross if you have one nearby. Focus on the vertical beam. Feel the line of sacred energy that runs from the top of your head down through your body to your feet. This energy connects you to God. Say silently, I am grounded in Divine Love. Visualize the horizontal beam. Stretch your arms out slightly or simply imagine them extended. Feel yourself reaching out to others with love and compassion. Say silently, I extend love to the world around me. Bring your hands to your chest above your heart. Rest them there. Feel the still point where vertical and horizontal meet. Say silently, Here I sit—fully human and fully divine—fully loved. I am the Beloved, embodying the love of God. Christ lives in and through me. Return to this practice whenever you feel scattered, disconnected, or unsure. Let the shape of the cross draw you back—to center, to love, to the quiet strength of Divine Presence alive in you and all around you. —brian j plachta |
