| Lord, You call me beloved, but I resist. I hear your voice, soft and steady, yet something in me pulls away, as if your love is a thing I must earn, as if I am not yet worthy to receive it. I have spent years carrying the weight of unworthiness, letting shame settle into my bones, letting fear whisper, I must be better, holier, more acceptable before I can rest in your embrace. Even now, part of me waits for permission to be loved. But you do not wait. You have never waited. You have called me yours since the beginning, before I achieved, before I failed, before I learned to doubt my own goodness. You see me as I am— the tenderness I hide, the wounds I carry, the longing I don’t know what to do with. And still, you do not turn away. You do not ask me to prove myself. You do not love me less because I doubt, because I struggle to trust, because I have questioned even you. You simply love me Without condition. Without hesitation. Without my having to earn your love. Teach me to see myself as you see me. To speak to myself as you speak to me— with kindness instead of judgment, with compassion instead of shame. Let your love sink deeper than my fears. Let it unmake the lies I have believed. Let me trust deep within my bones that I Am enough. And when I resist again tomorrow, when I forget, when I doubt, draw me back once more until one day I no longer run— but rest. —brian j plachta brianplachta.com Dive deeper into the Divine Embrace with a powerful guided meditation on Self-Love: The Path to Shared Love.Tune in to Episode 10 of the Spirituality on the Go Podcast and allow yourself to rest in love, acceptance, and divine presence. |
