| So how do we reconnect with our Divine Wholeness? Here’s a way. Practice: Reconnecting Your Mind and HeartSometimes when I feel overwhelmed, anxious, or reactive, I ask myself a simple question: “Am I acting solely from my human side right now?” That human part of me wants to fix, control, or rush through whatever’s happening. It gets tense, fearful, or impatient—and that’s all okay. That’s part of being human. But something shifts inside of me when I pause and ask a second question: “What is the Divine inviting me to hear or do right now?” When I take that sacred pause to listen to the response, I experience inner peace. I sense clarity, a dash of grace, or a calm I couldn’t find before. That’s the divine part of me—the part rooted in God—reminding me there’s a deeper way to live. That’s the moment I return to center. That’s where Divine Wholeness begins. Use the practice below during your morning quiet time—or during your day when you feel rushed, reactive, or disconnected. It’s a simple way to bring your mind and heart back into unity, and to listen for the quiet guidance of the Holy Spirit within you. Try this Practice: Slow down. Pause whatever you’re doing. Sit comfortably and, if you’re able, close your eyes. Take a few deep, gentle breaths. Let your body soften. Let your mind begin to settle. Place one hand on your head and the other on your chest above your heart. Feel both centers of your being. Let yourself become aware of what’s happening inside of you emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Ask yourself: “Am I acting solely from my human side right now?” Notice what emotions or reactions are present—without judgment. Then ask: “What is the Divine inviting me to hear or do right now?” Open yourself to whatever wisdom, peace, or presence arises. Whisper silently: “May my mind and heart walk as one in God.” Or simply: “I am human. I am divine. I am whole.” Sit in stillness for a moment longer. Let this truth settle in your body and spirit. Feel it in your bones. This is not just a calming technique—it’s a spiritual practice, a sacred way of remembering who you are: An image of heaven and earth. A whole person, made in the image of God. Rooted in both wisdom and wonder. Fully human. Fully divine. Use this practice anytime: In your morning prayer or meditation. Before a difficult conversation. When you’re feeling anxious, frustrated, or reactive. Let this practice reset your inner compass throughout the day. Let it guide you back—again and again—to your sacred center. May this practice be a doorway to Divine Wholeness—where your mind is clear, your heart is open, and your spirit walks gently in the flow of God’s Divine grace.
