Living in the divineFlow: Creating Your Personal Rhythm of Life

Posted On October 10, 2025

This Week’s Focus:

Creating your personal rhythm of life so you can quiet your mind and experience God in everyday life.

Over the past four weeks, we’ve explored the Four Pillars of Wholeness that form the foundation of living in the divineFlow. Each one offers a simple yet profound way to deepen your connection with God and live from the quiet center of your soul.

Together, they help quiet the noise in your head and root you in God’s loving presence.

And now comes the fun part—pulling them all together and creating your own rhythm of life. Think of it as your spiritual playlist: designed by you, guided by the Divine, and perfectly in tune with your soul’s tempo.

If you missed any of the Pillars (or want a little refresher), grab a cup of coffee, kick back, and revisit the whole series below. Each offers another way to tap into divineFlow and live from your soul’s center:

1. Quiet Time — learning to still the mind and listen for God’s voice. Click here to revisit Week 1: Quiet Time »

2. Spiritual Reading — letting sacred wisdom shape the heart. Read Week 2: Spiritual Reading »

3. Community — walking with soul friends who support and encourage your journey. Explore Week 3: Community »

4. Spiritual Gifts — discovering and sharing the unique ways God’s love flows through you. Reflect with Week 4: Spiritual Gifts »

Now, it’s your turn to create your divineFlow Rhythm of Life—a personalized life map that nourishes your spirit and helps you stay grounded in God’s love.

The Benefits of Living in the divineFlow of a Contemplative Life

The contemplative path (also known as divineFlow) isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s an intimate, evolving dance with the Divine—a way of allowing God’s presence to shape, guide, and sustain you.

When you live in divineFlow, you establish  a rhythm that fits your unique life, one that allows your inner life to guide your outer life.

That rhythm might include early morning stillness, time in nature, evening reflection, or spiritual conversation with a trusted friend. It’s not about perfection or performance—it’s about living from the pace of your soul.

When you lean into divineFlow, your mind settles—you think more clearly and worry less. Your body relaxes—you breathe deeper, sleep better, and move with more ease. And your spirit awakens—you feel connected, grounded, and alive in God’s love. Over time, you realize this isn’t just a spiritual practice—it’s a whole new way of being, where peace, clarity, and joy become your natural flow state.

If you’ve been following this series, you’ve already been practicing these rhythms in small ways each week. This final step invites you to bring them all together into a living, breathing map—a gentle structure to help you stay grounded in divineFlow.

Your Turn: Crafting Your Rhythm of Life

Think of this as creating your divineFlow Life Map.

It’s not a rulebook—it’s a living document that changes with the seasons of your soul.

Two ways to begin:

1. Reflect and Record: Use a journal or notebook to explore the four pillars below and write your responses to the reflection questions.

2. Download the Full Guide: If you prefer a ready-to-use version, download the printable guide here: Spiritual Balance Check-In

Pillar One: Quiet Time

Create space each day to rest in God’s loving presence.

Even ten minutes of stillness can open the door to peace.

  • My daily time for stillness: ______
  • My quiet place: ______
  • My breath prayer or mantra: ______

Pillar Two: Spiritual Reading

Sacred reading nourishes the heart and mind. Choose books, scripture, or reflections that awaken love and wisdom within you.

  • What will I read? ______
  • How often will I read? ______

Pillar Three: Spiritual Community—My Circle of Trust

We don’t walk this path alone. The people we choose to surround us help to remind us who we are. They encourage and inspire us to grow.

  • Who are my soul companions or community? ______
  • How will I connect regularly? ______
  • Who is missing from my Circle of Trust?
  • How will I reach out and find them? ______

Pillar Four: Spiritual Gifts

Your gifts are how you’re uniquely hard-wired and how God loves the world through you. When you live from your gifts, joy, purpose, and passion flow.

  • My gifts that bring joy: ______
  • How I’ll use them to bless others: ______

Trusting the Process

The divineFlow contemplative lifestyle unfolds gently, not in a straight line but in a rhythm of grace.

There’s no rush, no need to “get it right.”

“The soul thrives not on perfection but on faithful rhythm.” —Unknown

When you feel scattered or dry, return to your rhythm. Let it draw you back into God’s loving presence.

You’re in the Flow

Congratulations—you’ve arrived at the beginning of something amazing: a road map to a quieter mind and a direct experience with God and your True Self.

By creating your Rhythm of Life, you’re not adding “one more thing” to your to-do list. You’re choosing to live from the inside out, to let the Spirit lead you with love and wisdom day by day.

Living in the Flow isn’t about earning God’s love—it’s about awakening to the truth that you are already one with God, already immersed in divine love.

And when life feels chaotic, return to your rhythm. When you lose your way, breathe and remember: the current of grace is always carrying you Home.

“Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.”
—Matthew 7:7

Step forward with confidence and peace. The divineFlow is alive within you—always guiding, always loving, always calling you home.

Following the Breadcrumbs God Leaves Along Our Path

What if God is speaking through ordinary moments more often than we realize?

A conversation that stays with us. A door that closes. A quiet nudge we can’t quite explain. An unexpected invitation that seems to come at just the right time.

The challenge is learning to notice these moments before we have any idea where they’re leading, and trusting the next step.

Over time, we may begin to see that God’s guidance doesn’t always come as an answer. Sometimes, it comes as a trail.

What to Do When God Seems Silent

Has silence ever made you feel like God is far away? When we feel this way, it’s easy to start looking for answers or waiting for a clear sign. But prayer can also be as simple as slowing down and noticing what’s already here. The breeze. The waves. Your breath. The quiet. God’s presence doesn’t always come through words. Sometimes we just need to be still enough to notice.

Let God Alone Define You

Ever have someone’s words get stuck in your head?
Maybe they criticized you, misunderstood you, or told a story about you that doesn’t feel true. And before long, you’re holding a courtroom in your mind—defending yourself, replaying the conversation, wondering if maybe they’re right.

There’s another way.

Bring it into the quiet with God.

Ask: Is there something here I need to learn? Is there something I need to own? And what was never mine to carry in the first place?

We can stay humble enough to receive the truth without letting someone else’s opinion become our identity.

Because in the end, God alone defines you.
