Sometimes a prayer begins simply enough, until we realize we’re asking for something that might actually change us. During a recent Quiet Time, I found myself sitting beside an imagined fire with God, watching the flame slowly become an inner flame. What began as a peaceful image became a deeper prayer about surrender, fear, longing, and the Divine Love already burning within us. Living Flame of Love is an invitation to slow down, sit with the words, and notice what happens when we stop trying to control where prayer takes us.
