| They say there is a thin veil between us and the Divine, a sheer, silky curtain that sways in a heavenly wind between God’s heart and ours. The veil is the one we stepped through at birth, the moment when we entered the world from our mother’s womb. Here, on the other side of heaven, we remain with God, and God remains with us and within us. We simply need to remember seeing the Creator’s face and recall the Divine Beauty we once knew before we were. On this side of the veil, we awaken to the Divine Presence revealed now in earthly form. We rise beyond the world’s sleep, close our eyes, still our minds, and wait for the breath of God to lift the veil that seems to separate us. There is an art to recognizing this sheer cloth. We can’t see it with human eyes. It is only visible through the lens of our souls. It takes patience and stillness to wait for those heaven-on-earth moments. We must prepare our souls to be ready, to recognize those subtle surprises by stepping away each day from the world’s clamor. Through quiet times of meditation, prayer, stillness, and spiritual reading, we strengthen our soul’s vision to see what is truly real. Sometimes, in the quiet or while wandering in nature, the breath of God blows back the veil, and we know without understanding that we have seen the face of God. Wait. Be still. The veil will blow back when you sit pondering, listening, longing, trusting grace will show you the Divine face again. Do you see it? Can you feel it in your soul? Will you wait with me each day in stillness and let the Creator pull back the veil? Prayer of the Heart: Blow back the veil with your heavenly breath, O Divine One. We long to see Your Face.
